We are so happy that you are interested in joining our organization. We couldn't possibly make Earth a cleaner place without your much needed help! Although we are a student run organization, we gladly welcome anyone who is interested in our mission to maintaining a healthy Earth through litter clean up, so don't worry if you are not a student, we would be honored to have you as a SCEP member!
Getting Started
Becoming a member is simple and completely free! First, fill out and submit the Volunteer Membership Form located below, making sure to read and accept the Agreement & Release of Liability Form.

Next, choose the location and time you would like to go out to pick up trash. This can be any place you feel comfortable with and that is in need of your valued attention as a litter pick up volunteer. A great example of these locations that always seem to need attention are community parks, but feel free to get creative with your destination. Make sure you are safe where ever you choose to volunteer.

Now the clean up can begin. Think of it as a litter Easter egg hunt! Pick up as much trash as you can for the amount of time you see suits best for you. Remember to pack water, sunscreen, a trash bag, gloves, and whatever else you may need during your outing!

Finally, snap a photo of your trash bag and feel free to snap a selfie or two! We enjoy seeing everyone working hard to make Earth a little cleaner! The photo can be a before and after shot, just a picture of your bag, or a picture of you with your litter removal accomplishment! Then send your photo(s) to our email, SCEPvolunteer@gmail.com along with your full name, date of clean up, number of bags you collected and the number of hours you volunteered.

Membership Requirements
To become a member all you need is to complete and submit your Volunteer Membership Form, along with one hour of trash pick up and a photo. To remain an active member you only need to commit at least 2 hours per month of litter pick up. If you are unable to meet this requirement, don't worry, your previous hours will not be lost, but you will be considered inactive and will not be eligible to receive a membership award for that month, but can start back up anytime!

Member Appreciation Awards
We appreciate all your hard work and will be keeping track of all your hours and photos you submit to us. You will receive a confirmation email from us stating that we received your hours within 1 to 4 business days. In order to better show our appreciation of our members, we will be honoring our Volunteer of the Month and Volunteer of the Year with a certificate and acknowledgement on our website and social media pages!
